RAILOclothing collage

Being a nature loving person I have always recycled, reused and reduced. That’s how the idea of RAILOclothing was first born; I was frustrated by the racks of unused fabric and clothing that I found in so many thrift stores and second hand markets. As the daughter of a skilled seamstress and having worked in the area of industrial sewing for years, with a background of clothing design studies – I thought I might be able to do something about this.

It started as a hobby, fixing unattractive clothing into pieces I wanted to wear myself. Not long after I started getting comments from people with the same sustainable goals; ”Do you sell your clothing somewhere? Could you make one for me? I can’t believe that used to be a curtain!” So I began making clothes for birthday presents, later on sold a piece here, another there – and over the years set up a small Etsy shop.

In 2014 I took on some business studies, during which I made the decision to become a fulltime entrepreneur. One of the results of that decision is this website, including the online store with the very first RAILOclothing collection. I personally made everything you see here; from the idea of the design, to drawing patterns, to sewing every stitch on every item – RAILOclothing does not use subcontractors. You are guaranteed to get what you see, and customer satisfaction is my number one priority.

Welcome! And thank you for choosing sustainable fashion.

UPDATE: All RAILOclothing products are sold via the Etsy shop (visit *here*).
