RAILO summer update

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven’t been around for such a long while. Being busy is a horrible excuse for neglecting my blog, but I have just had to prioritize things in the middle of everything.

Working as an entrepreneur is interesting, exciting, exhausting, nerve-wrecking and exhilarating at the same time. I get to do what I love – in fact, I get to do anything AND everything I love, but I also need to make sure I can keep some sort of a balance in everything. A while ago I was offered a fascinating opportunity to combine the other two of my desires; photography and writing. So, besides sewing sustainable clothing and doing portrait photography I am now also working as an editor for an online photography site. I’ve learned so much during the past few weeks (I consider it a humongous bonus) but as I’ve been studying the ever-changing ways of successful content management I haven’t had much time for my clothing designs. Sorry about that!

Now that I’m finally getting the hang of it, I will be returning to the fashion world as well. I’m creating a schedule that allows me to combine ALL of my passions, so that I can do a bit of each every day (instead of letting any of them go for weeks). I’m also trying to figure out a new layout for this website, as the store is still not quite functioning as it should be. I have a few sewing orders lined up and I’m taking new ones as soon as I have completed these. I hope you all are having a wonderful summer!

  1. Anna!!!! wow!!!!
So many wonderful and exciting news!!! 🙂
Which is the name of the photography site you work for?
I’m so happy for you! woring as a photographer is my dream, so happy it’s your reality! 🙂
How about your clothing business? I love all of them! 🙂

    1. Thank you!! As it turns out I am becoming a do-it-all entrepreneur… I was planning on focusing on sewing 90% but for the past few weeks it has been mostly writing and photography. I have to say it’s wonderful that I’m able to do all of these things instead of just one – if I get bored of sewing I can step back and take photos for a while, or if I don’t feel like taking pictures I can get back to writing again. It was a long road to travel from my “former working life” to this point – and I’m sure I still have a lot of hard work ahead – but it’s all worth it!
